Neck Pain

Self-Help Tip: Relieving Neck Pain – An Awakened Wellness Approach

Why It Helps:

Neck pain often stems from poor posture, tension, misalignment, or even unresolved emotions stored in the body. The Awakened Wellness approach encourages you to tune into your Body Within—listening to what your body is trying to communicate. Instead of just relieving symptoms, this practice invites you to go deeper and uncover the root cause of your discomfort.

How to Do It (With Awareness):

  1. Set Your Intention: Before any physical practice, take a deep breath. Ask yourself: What is my body trying to tell me? Is this tension purely physical, or is there an emotional connection?

  2. Gentle Release Techniques:

    • Postural Awareness: Notice how you hold your head throughout the day. Avoid prolonged forward head posture (text neck) by keeping your ears aligned with your shoulders.

    • Neck Stretches: Slowly tilt your head side to side, forward and backward, holding each stretch for 20-30 seconds. Move mindfully, breathing into any tight spots.

    • Self-Massage or Myofascial Release: Use your fingers or a massage ball to gently release tension at the base of the skull and along the neck.

  3. Breathe & Connect: While stretching or rolling, take slow, deep breaths. With each exhale, imagine tension melting away.

  4. Pause & Reflect: Sit quietly after your practice. What thoughts or emotions surfaced? How can you support yourself beyond just physical relief?
