Fresh Guacamole Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe avocados

  • 1 lime (juiced)

  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro (chopped)

  • 1/2 red onion (finely chopped)

  • 1 medium tomato (diced)

  • 1 jalapeño (seeded and finely chopped) Or as much as you want

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

  • Salt to taste

  • Pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Avocados:

    • Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.

    • Mash the avocados with a fork until you reach your desired consistency (chunky or smooth).

  2. Add Fresh Lime Juice:

    • Squeeze the juice of one lime over the mashed avocados. This not only adds flavor but also helps prevent the avocados from browning.

  3. Mix in Vegetables and Herbs:

    • Add the chopped cilantro, finely chopped red onion, diced tomato, and finely chopped jalapeño to the bowl. Mix well.

  4. Season:

    • Sprinkle in the ground cumin and add salt and pepper to taste. Mix everything together until well combined.

  5. Taste and Adjust:

    • Taste the guacamole and adjust the seasoning as needed, adding more lime juice, salt, or pepper according to your preference.

  6. Serve:

    • Transfer the guacamole to a serving bowl and enjoy it with tortilla chips, as a topping for tacos, or alongside your favorite Mexican dishes.

Tips:

  • For extra flavor, you can add a clove of minced garlic or a dash of hot sauce.

  • If you prefer a spicier guacamole, leave the seeds in the jalapeño or add more.

Enjoy your fresh and delicious guacamole!
